this morning as i was getting ready for work i let the dogs out as usual to do their business. something made me glance out the window to check on them. missy was on the porch , i couldnt see smore but i believe he was by his dog house, then i looked and saw abby on the west side of our yard just innocently doing her business but right above her just hovering sorta was a huge bird! i just remember the huge wing span of the bird, for a second or so i was frozen , then my brian kicked in and said run!! i ran to the door and just as i opened the door abby hearing the door open ran to me! it all happened so fast and i was so concentrating on just getting abby to me that i didnt see the bird leave. now as i think about it what a frighting close call ! dad thinks it could of been a hawk and as food is scarce this time of year for birds he believes if i hadnt looked out when i did it would have swooped down and gotten her!

Abby is lucky to have a mommy like you! The hawk must've been really hungry to go after such an odd looking "rabbit"...I spose abby does sort of resemble a rabbit with her big ears and all...hmm....OH! I updated my blog!

I think the bird was pretty despererate, getting abby would be just bones, and maybe a diaper to chew on.
Good thing your "brian" kicked in so you could rescue abby!! :D
Very true Cindy. But what I want to know is how Brian made it from Denver to your Wyoming so fast!
Seriously though, I am glad Abby is okay! I know I worry about my dogs being taken away by other wildlife too!
