Aidan Scott and Layla Ann

More information and pictures to come as I am able. I am too tired and emotionally drained right now, but wanted to get this picture on here. Just got home from spending 3 days in the hospital with Cindy. It is 2 a.m. right now as I write this. cindy delivered 2 beautiful healthy babies today August 11th at close to 5 p.m! all information about them and exact times of birth I will post soon. They both weighed a little over 5 pounds. good weight, pink and healthy. both have dark hair. didn't need any oxygen or anything! so thankful! I was very worried about Cindy the whole time and am still having some concerns. It was a very hard and painful time for Cindy, she had many complications and ended up after hours of painful labor having to have a c-section. Watching her suffer was harder than anything. Cindy is still being monitored very carefully as she still has pre-eclampsia and has to have an I.V. of magnesium sulfate to prevent seizures because of the pressure on her brain. She also not only has the pain of the c-section but also terrible pain in her back because the nurse who tried to give her an epidural poked her 3 times in her spine. from what I understand the nurse hit a blood vessel and caused bleeding and potentially a very serious life threatening for Cindy. so soon after the birth of the twins, they took cindy in for an MRI to make sure her spine had not been affected. I was told the MRI showed things were ok. I was told the nurse hit a blood vessel because cindys pre-eclampsia caused her vessels to be engorged. but I am still not understanding for sure about the why the epidural went wrong and will try to research it further. cindy could not deliver the twins vaginally because of the terrible back pain from the epidural and that is why she had to have the c-section.
cindy has been running a slight fever and is also on I.V. antibiotic right now. She is now also being given morphine for pain. Cindy seemed in good spirits tonight after she got to see her babies for the first time 5 and 1/2 hours after delivering them.

How adorable. It's too bad Cindy had to endure all that pain & then had to go through a C-section. I hope she's feeling better soon. Poor thing. On a happy note, though, the babies look absolutely perfect. Congrats!!
