ahhh that was fun!

well today I thought I better "winterize" my motorcycles. I may still ride my bikes occasionally, but with the weather getting so iffy now, wanted to get this done as it will help keep the engine better when the bikes sit for long periods of time. basically to winterize consists of filling the gas tank and then adding a product called "stable" to the gas. after you add the recommended amount, you are suppose to idle your engine for about 5 minutes. well when I was out doing that, I decided since its 50* outside, instead of just idleing the engine I would ride my bikes for a bit. first I rode the 500. then I rode the little 200. I had forgotten how much fun that little 200 is. its just little enough for me to maneuver around with such ease. Since we dont have a garage, I keep my bikes in the shed. The shed has a bump you have to go up over in order to get the bike in the shed. well thats fine if a person is strong enough to push the bike up and over the bump backwards, then if the bike is backed in you can just drive it out when ready to ride. but I am not strong enough to do this with the 500. I always have to have ken back the bike in for me, then when I want to ride I can just drive out. but with my little 200 its just light enough (barely, but yeah) that I can back it into the shed by myself. which is nice I dont have to bother ken with it then. someday I hope we can have a garage so I can just drive in and out normally, how nice that will be. but for now at least I have a place to keep my bikes out of the weather. I am glad of that. It was very fun riding today, hope we have a mild winter so I can continue to ride as much as possible.
