Abby is feeling miserable right now. She came into heat last week. She seems depressed and really out of sorts. She is also driving me crazy. She has to wear a diaper with a sanitary pad in it, but for some reason she keeps tearing the pads out. I put a fresh one on, and the next thing, I see it lying on the floor, or sofa, or wherever she decides to deposit it! I am seriously considering having her spayed after this heat. I an not going to breed her, because of the problem with her leg and also her trachea. Think I better get the spaying done, too, before she gets much older, as its very hard on an older dog. When I spayed My dachshund, shirley, she was older and her recovery from it was very long, she was pretty sick for awhile. so I better be making that appointment.
