Abbys Elizabethian collar

Here is Abbys elizabethian collar. The reason I dont have a picture of Abby wearing it is because: Ok, before I left the vets office, Abby was already starting to lick her wounds and stitches, so the vet put this collar on her. It looked really cute on her too. Abby took it all in stride while we were in the office and remained calm. The vet put her back in her kennel, and we got in the car and started to leave. I wasn't on the road 5 minutes, when I heard whinning and alot of rustling around coming from abbys kennel. I hurried to look for a place to pull over. I figured she was trying to dig at her collar and get it off. I pulled over and went to help her take it off. Too late, she had managed to take it off all by herself. I worried that she might have hurt her just operated on leg trying to get it off, with all the rustling around she did and the whinning I bet it did hurt. Today is day 4 after her surgery. she cannot use that leg at all yet. It just dangles there. So I have to carry her in and out several times a day to do her business, as the vet said she is not to go up and down stairs(we have cement stairs out to the yard) She is not to run or jump or anything. He doesnt want her stressing her only good back leg and also must be careful she doesnt hurt her surgery leg. So I have to confine her to the kitchen for 2 weeks to restrict her movements so her leg can heal. And also to keep Zoey and her apart. Zoey wants her play toy back and just doesnt understand why abby cant play. Dogs just dont know better. Yesterday I accidently let her out of the kitchen, and the first thing she does is run out to the living room , run up the little stairs we have there, and jumped into the bay window. She can get around on 3 legs pretty well, but loses her balance sometimes. At 2 weeks , I take her back in to get her stitches out and hopefully she will be able to use her leg again by then.
