Friday afternoon Ken and I went with Karen to Relay for life. First we got to attend a dinner that was for the survivors of cancer and their familes. As the survivors signed in, they were to put how many years out they were from first being diagnosed with cancer. Karen is 13 years out now!! :) They announced that a lady there was 54 years out! After the dinner we walked with Karen and all the other cancer survivors and their families on the survivor walk. While people all along the track clapping and cheering. After that They had all kinds of booths set up inside the track and we had fun browsing around. It was a beautiful day but very hot at that time. Cindy had wanted to come with us at this time, but with Aidan not feeling good and no one available to help, she wasnt able to then. But she WAS able to come later that evening for the illuminating ceremony. It was alot cooler then too. Ken bought all us girls these cool tie dye shirts. He wanted one for himself but they didnt have his size. darn. I am trying to think what else we bought......I am sure there was more....we all got free relay for life t-shirts too. Then that night we all spent the night at Cindys house so she had a house full!
